I know firsthand how hard it is to be Black woman navigating racism, sexism, capitalism and white supremacy culture. These oppressive forces directly impact our mental health and can cause anxiety. You’re tired of feeling stressed, combatting your harsh inner critic and feeling this fear that if you’re not perfect everything will fall apart. Just know that you are not alone and therapy can be a vital resource to support you.

I have dedicated my career to mitigating the toxic impact of racism and discrimination by providing quality mental health care to young adults of color impacted by these struggles. I ground my work in social justice, taking into account how our social positions in society are rooted in systemic oppression, which influences our experiences, mental health and relationships.

My therapeutic approach

My clinical work centers on providing high-quality, culturally responsive mental health care to Black women and women of color navigating anxiety, stress, and the impact of trauma. I practice from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, relational, and identity-affirming lens, and tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs.

I integrate a blend of therapeutic modalities—including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral strategies, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, mindfulness, and body-based, nervous system informed techniques. I am currently completing advanced training in Somatic Experiencing, which allows me to help clients better understand how stress and past experiences show up in the body.

I believe therapy thrives when we build a solid, trusting relationship. As we work together, I’ll ask thoughtful, process-oriented questions to help you explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. I offer new perspectives, practical coping tools, and consistent, compassionate validation.

Because healing doesn’t happen in the mind alone, I also help you reconnect with your body—using gentle grounding, breathwork, and nervous system regulation practices so you can feel more settled, present, and empowered in your daily life.
